It’s the Little Things

Here are just a few of the things that made me happy this week.

1.  These are the gorgeous buds on our tree out front.  These signs of spring lift my spirits more than I can say.  Once the holidays are over, winter depression usually gets to me and by April, well, some years are really rough!  But just when I feel like I’ll never see the sun again (especially after crazy weeks with 80 degree days followed by 40 degree days!), God brings the blooms out on the trees and I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I can start to imagine swimming and picnics and playing outside without being cold and flip flops on the way out the door…

2.  These are two empty hampers.  With our new washer and dryer we can do all of the laundry in one evening.  That is such a great feeling.  Of course, they don’t stay empty too long, but at least they get empty! 🙂

3.  Mac promising me that when he grows up and lives next door, he’ll come see me every day.  Except for Saturdays, because those are cleaning days and since there’s a lot to do, they may not have time, but if they do, he’ll bring his wife and kids over to see Grandma and Grandpa.  Because I’ll be his kids’ grandma. 🙂

4.  This is what I see every day.  My. Three. Boys.  Happiness.
