Goodbye Middle School, Hello High School
Patrick graduated from 8th grade! I am so proud of all his hard work this year. While becoming an athlete again, he also maintained straight As in the classroom.

8th Grade Track Recognition
The track team held a recognition dinner for the 8th grade runners. The coach took the time to talk about and honor each athlete. It was so nice to hear another adult’s opinion of my child. He had very nice things to say, but what he said that stood out and made me the most proud was that Patrick always gives his all. He is always willing to try and do anything that is asked of him. ❤️
He found out the week before track started that he has a slipped disc in his back which makes for almost constant back pain. The doctor told him that exercise would help so he decided to go ahead with the season. I am so very proud of him. Not only did he try a new sport his 8th grade year, but he also worked his butt off. These practices were no joke! But he did it. He did 2 hour practices every day for a month. That’s a lot of running. That’s one tough boy. 😀

Last 8th Grade Band Concert
We attended Patrick’s last middle school band concert. They began with a silly song featuring the 8th grade band members playing the trumpet mouth pieces. They ended with the Star Wars medley – Mac performed this when he was in middle school as well! A fun tradition they each took part in. Stay tuned next year for Patrick in the SJO high school band!
They held a recognition awards ceremony at the end for the 8th grade members. Patrick received the “Most likely to claim to be the best trumpet player” award. Good to know my boy doesn’t lack confidence! 😂

Mother’s Day 2022
This year showed my boys’ personalities the best. The cards they each picked out represent them and our relationships so well! Mac’s is loving and sentimental. Patrick’s is loving and funny. ❤️
I fall more in love with them both as the years go by. Every day I look at them and wonder how the time went so quickly. They are so incredible and I love that they are mine.
